Bulldozers and other construction machines used to move soil on a construction project have nothing to do with cargo transportation. There are two types of cargo transportation: introduction cargo transport, which is technologically related to the production of one or more items within the confines of a specific enterprise, and national economic cargo transport, which entails the transportation of products from producers to consumers either directly or through trade networks and long-term storage facilities
Cargo transport volume is determined by production and import quantities, as well as the coefficient of shipment repetition, or the number of times the same tonne of production is shipped from a manufacturing facility to the final destination.
THE WORLD’S CARGOTRANSPORT VOLUME HAS INCREASED ALMOST 15 TIMES LAST 50 YEARS
The degree of development of so-called mixed shipments carried by two or more modes of transportation (in which the same product is considered separately for each mode of transport; that is, it can be counted more than once), and other factors all influence the coefficient of repetition. Because of the advantages of the planned system of enterprise supply and product marketing, the coefficient of shipping recurrence in socialist countries is generally lower than in capitalist countries.
